I am contemplating making the switch from Treo to BB 8830 with verizon - actually I have pretty much made up my mind. I am tired of resetting every day and reading the posts here would suggest that I am not alone.
My question is - I am going to Italy in a few weeks but I don't usually do that much overseas travel. What do I have to do to be able to use my phone in Italy for email and voice - and do I have to sign up for some monstrously expensive plan with Verizon to support my two week trip? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
You should be okay. Calls there are I think about a buck a minute. Call VZW customer service. You need a SIM card, which they will provide. It's pretty straightforward after that. You will want to be on the $69 per month data plan for global coverage.
