Just bought a new 8830WE and would like to know the best way to transfer everything from my 8703e to the 8830WE. Also would like to know if it is ok to upgrade the OS software before I activate the 8830 on Alltel.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

One of the options on DM is the Device Switch Wizard. I would do a backup before trying this, but you should be able to use that to transfer the information, although I think carriers can also do this for you.
As for the OS upgrade, I would make sure to do the transfer first, activate on Alltel, and then upgrade.
