I have my office phone set to forward to my blackbery number. I know that the blackberry can distinguish between the two (because is displays a window showing "Call Forwarding - unconditional" when a call is forwarded). Is there any way to have an alternate ring when those calls come in?
When u get the fwded call do u get the number from where the call actually comes from or ur office number ( cos the call is routed thru it ?) ... if if its the former I quite dont think thats possible......
I'm also trying to assign a distinct ringtone to forwarded calls so that I can tell which biz they've been forwarded from. It directly affects how I answer the phone and how professional i seem to my customers.
Everyone i talk to - from the programmers at blackberry to the app specialists at tmobile - agree that this would be a terrific feature, but no one can tell me how to achieve it.
Does anyone have any leads, tips, suggestions? I would be grateful for some help.
