Do you have to turn power down each time you want to pull out the battery for a soft reset or can you take it out with out powering down? Ok, going back to my Treo days. thank you for your assistance.

Leaving it on is the only way to do a proper reset. And I remember my Treo days, too... yuck. LOL

Even Treos don't need to be powered down before you pull the battery on them.

Can't you do a soft reset with the key sequence:
Alt + right-shift + Del ?
Is that the same as the SoftReset app that had been written for the 8100 as well, btw?

WOW, thank you so much for the quick response. And the Alt + right-shift + Del is a lifesaver since I often need to do this for Missing Sync to work. I am on a Mac and BB's are still a bit not into Macs. My boss is "trying to work with Google Calendar, with much frustration, MUCH. There is less hassle with MS now that I have this info.

I am trying to find a key sequence or a software program to soft reset my 8830 Blackberry. I am getting tired of having to pull the battery first everytime I want to use missing sync. I am on a Mac Powerbook G4.
I saw a note on "Alt+Right-Shift+Delete", but can't figure out how to get this sequence on the powerbook.
