Just got off the phone with Verizon 8830WE global support. The issue is SMS text messaging when out of the country. I have always experienced issues here. In the past, I could text back to the US from an overseas location but not receive text from the US. This has now been fixed since I just returned from Australia and had no problems. However, a related problem (text messaging someone outside the US while I'm outside the US) is still an issue. Voice and data aren't a problem but text messages I send aren't received and vice versa. I'm just curious if anyone else has experienced / found a workaround / for this since, according to Verizon, it appears that international text is routed differently than voice and data which apparently is the problem.
I had the same problems before. Verizon tried and the problem still there. I now use BBM( hardly have any problems) but the catch is.. the person you txt with must have bb as well.
