    if a slight vibration or such as laying the 8830 WE on my desk causes it to turn off. I then normaly have to swap batteries to power the phone back on! also the mini usb is broken any ideas on what i can do?

    how old is the phone? is it under warranty? if its under warranty you can just call alltel and they will give you another phone for free...

    not sure how much they charge if its out of warranty but verizon charges 50 for a replacement... they waived the 50 for me though...

    i would keep calling technical support and tell them whats going on until you get a good rep who will get a replacement out to you...have them check the stores near you to see if they have any in stock that way you dont have to wait a day or two for it to come by fedex...

    I have had it for quit a while now, im sure it isnt under warranty. I have insurance so i guess im just gonna use that

    before you go pay an insurance deductible, call technical support...i would hate to see you spend 50 when its not necessary...not saying youre gonna get a freebie here, but you might...

    i have total equipment coverage, so it kind of extends the mfr warranty, you might have something like that....
