My suggestion would be trying a scratch repair kit that was made for ipod~ the finish is similar but I jav e not tried it yet

Thought about getting a red in exchange for my silver 8830WE..but if they scratch that easily then I'll hold onto my silver one.

Try Meguairs plastic cleaner and their polish to get the scratches off of your screen.

You could try what I used for removing scratches from LaserDiscs and DVDs (I'm all about High def now).

If the scratches are very deep Novus 3 plastic scratch remover does an excellent job. If the scratches aren't deep then try Novus 2 plastic scratch remover. Then finish with Novus 1 plastic polish.

I have LaserDiscs I polished with Novus 20 years ago and they are just as smooth today as the I polished them.

I haven't had the need to use it on my BB due to the fact that I have it safely tucked in an Otterbox, but I have a supply if I ever need to.

Oh, and Novus 1 is also a dust repellent, a big plus if you are a Home Theater nut like me.
