- I just discovered this today while updating my desktop and U3 versions of Roboform and realized that it hasn't been reported yet.
Roboform for BlackBerry Beta 0.8.4 is available!
RoboForm for Blackberry
Over-The-Air(OTA) Install
www.roboform.com/dist/RoboFormForBlackberry.jad
There isn't any search ability, so you have to know the exact password file that you want to open. There are no options, so you can't save the default location of your Roboform data files and have to manually navigate to it each time. When you enter your password to decode, the password is revealed as plain text (so beware of prying eyes.) The URL of your saved password is not displayed, so hopefully you remember the website that belongs to each password.
Known Issues
- Due to slowness of the J2ME interpreter Blackberry uses, AES encryption takes 5-10 seconds when decrypting a single file, please be patient when using this encryption method on your RoboForm data files. Or re-protect your passcards using 3DES encryption, it decrypts much faster on Blackberry.
- Currently only AES/3DES/DES encryption methods are supported, RC6 and Blowfish are not supported.
- Currently RoboFrom for Blackberry must be uninstalled using the Blackberry Desktop Manager, it cannot be uninstalled directly from the "Applications" menu on the device.
08-15-08 02:05 PMLike 0 - Being a RoboForm Pro and RoboForm2Go user, I tried to download the two files for RoboForm for Blackberry. The first one (.cod) downloaded normally but the second one (.alx) simply opened for display on my brower (Windows IE). So, I have been unable to install it on my Storm. Any help/guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Steven12-25-08 12:38 AMLike 0 - Have you tried "right-clicking" on the link and selecting "Save-As"? This will override any default actions that your browser normally does when clicked on.12-25-08 10:11 AMLike 0

- I've used Roboform Pro as a password manager on my PC for a couple of years. It is a great program. It manages passwords and has a feature called Safenotes, all protected by a master password. You can put any info in Safenotes and have it available after entering your master password. I installed the current ver. 1.2.6 for Blackberry on my 8900. It has some bugs that Roboform is aware of and they do not have any info on when they will fix them. Their app for the Blackberry is free so I can't complain too much. I'm posting this for those who use Roboform on their PCs so they are aware that it might not work on the Blackberry as expected. I have an 8900 running 4.6.1.231. It may behave differently on a different Blackberry. I put all my Roboform data in a directory on my 8900. Here are the bugs: Roboform can only see 100 files (whether they be password files or safenote files) in any given folder. I have over 200 password/safenote files. My workaround was to create 3 folders with the data split evenly so there are no more than 100 files in each folder. It's a pain but it works. Viewing your password files seems to work fine. It doesn't auto-populate on the Blackberry but it wasn't meant to. The safenotes do not work correctly. You can only see the first page of the safenote. There is no way to scroll down for the rest of the info. I'd highly recommend Roboform for the PC, but it is not too useful on my Blackberry with the bugs in the current version.01-12-10 05:59 AMLike 0
- I wonder if the developers of Roboform ever read this forum. It would be GREAT if they fixed Roboform for the Blackberry. I keep checking but it is still at the broken version 1.2.6. Their tech support doesn't seen to care to fix it as they've been aware of the problems for quite a while now. Guess there are not enough of us using it on our BBs...01-28-10 04:37 PMLike 0
- I am also a faithful Roboform user on my PC and would love to have a bit more functionality on my BB. Even if they would just fix the obvious bugs, that would be great - being able to see comlete safenotes, credit card security codes, login website url's - this is pretty core functionality.01-04-11 07:46 AMLike 0
