I recently replaced a BlackBerry 8830 for one of my users, and wiped the old handheld without realizing that he didn't sync his address book to our BES server. Now I'm trying to find out if there's a way to go back and retrieve that information.
Of course, the reason I did the wipe was so that no one could see the old information on the BB after I returned it to Verizon--but if anybody out there knows a trick, it sure would be helpful. Thanks!
Our IT Dep't wipes them for the same reason, and they tell me there is no possibility of recovery. Given that you asked 12 hours ago and no one's answered, I think your user is out of luck.
Even with the really cool forensic toys I have, recovering data from a wiped BB is an exercise in futility. BBs actually wipe, that is why it takes so long.
