    Has anybody tried to record a meeting via their 8830? Just set it on the desk and inconspicuously let it record a meeting? Strictly for replaying later and taking better notes, of course...

    Yes, you can do that. Get the software VR+ by SHAPE Services. Great application! Check the latest feature of this too. Awesome feature - upload recordings online.

    Device OS 4.3 (whenever it'll become available for the 8830) will support voice note recordings, which should do what you want to do.
