I just upgraded my 8830 from .138 to .175. Everything seems much faster, but I'm having one major issue.

Whenever I power cycle the phone, it picks up signal as 1xev, then switches to 1XEV, but the signal indicator will show an "x" rather than bars (and it should be picking up minimum 4 bars, full signal strength at home). It will place and receive calls, some applications will work (Google Maps, BB App World), however in Services Status, it will say BIS is not connected. E-mails will not come through, BBMs, etc.

Now, if I go into Manage Connections, turn the Mobile Network off then back on, half the time the device comes back up exactly as it should. The other half of the time, the signal indicator will show 4-5 bars of service but the network will read 1xev ... even though it's connected (as stated in Services Status).

Has anyone else experienced this issue? It's so frustrating that I think I'll revert back to .138.
