I'm adding to my addiction, I wanted a curve but they are a little more expensive than the world edition so I was just wondering if the world edition runs the same OS as the curve. Also does anyone have an idea why the world editions seem to be like $40-50 less than the curve? I'm talking about the marketplace forum btw

I would say they have lowered the price on the 8830 in preparation for the 9630.

VZW's official OS is still 4.2 on the 8830, although Sprint and Bell both have 4.5 available, which will run on a VZW 8830.

The only other difference will be that the Curve will have a little bit more memory than the 8830.

In addition to Xopher's remarks, let me add the 8330 has 50% more memory than the 8830. The other Curves have the same 64MB. All the Curves have a camera, the 8830 does not. The 8830 is probably closer to being discontinued than are the 83xx devices.
