What is the difference between
Level 1 messages / Messages / messenger alert / messenger new message

What I mean is what is the difference between the sources. Does a BB message announce on all these profiles? How do I know which is which?

I am on BIS with VZW and have three POP emails coming in as well as a push from BB.

Level 1 = like an emergency message
Messages = emails
Messenger Alert = BlackBerry Pin Message, from an ongoing conversation
Messenger New Message = New message from a contact, not an additional message in an existing conversation...

Messenger is BlackBerry Messenger, not email messages.

At your VZW BIS site under filters, where you created your email setup to your BB, you can determine which email address you want to make Level 1 Messages.
