I'm trying to view the current prl for my 8830we (#4357* does NOT work before anyone offers that as a solution.) Any other way to find out what it is? Thanks in advance.

Weird! That should do it! #4357* Send Thats the only way I know how to pull it up.

Edit: Latest is 51540 up from 51468 from what I read in another post.

Here's a bit more background:

Just did an esn change to this phone a few hours ago. I just noticed there's a roaming indicator. Btw, I'm in area where I shouldn't be roaming (my 8330 works just fine here.)

I'm wondering if i may have to manually load a prl on the 8830. I've done it once, but, of course, can't remember how i did it.

Other thoughts?

*228 Option 2 will update your roaming list. It won't tell you your PRL number, but it will install the latest.

SignalLoc (go to this link on your phone for OTA install) will tell you your PRL #
