Upgraded my handset to 4.5.0.33 yesterday; everything seems fine (so far none of the hassles mentioned in the other OS 4.5 thread), except that each time a hard reset is done (battery pull), at the conclusion this message pops up:

    Uncaught Exception:
    java.lang.NullPointerexception

Supposedly this was a "public release" (though not from Sprint). What does it signify, and what can be done?

A battery pull reloads the OS. If it's occurring immediately after a battery pull, it almost certainly means there is some problem with your OS upgrade. To be on the safe side, you should roll back to your previous good version and try again.

Your problem is that you're running .33. That version is not a public version and it has a lot of bugs in it. Get your hands on at least version .56 if not even .77 to solve your issues.

Thanks for the info. I'll have to tell my "source" for the "public release" that. since Sprint doesn't offer it yet, I guess it's Google 4.5.0.56 or 77.
