Alright..downloading it now. I was using .46 but found it to be slow. The volume was not as loud on the earpiece and ever so often it would freeze, so hopefully the bugs are out of this version.
This is for the 8820 and your profile says you have 8800. That would be a problem. I posted a link for the 8800 OS in the 8800/8820 forum. it is stickied on top.
I installed mine yesterday and no problems as of yet. HTML is working good and does not ask ne to download pictures. when i open email it automatically does it for me.
I believe their is an FAQ on how to restore from a failed OS update if like any OS has the potential to do. Is that still a valid statement and if so where on the site would it be because I would like to update my 8820 given the lack of credible BB Bold release dates I want something to help me feel as though my BB is still current.
I downloaded the file which was like 78 mbs. I installed it to my laptop....I deleted the file and then I opened desktop manager and connected my bb....
It did the same thing it always does. Nothing diff?
Having the same problem...Followed steps you outlined, plugged in BB8820, Nothing happens. Also tried application loader to no avail. I have the latest Desktop Manager installed (v.4.5)...Help!!!!
Have the latest DM and it would not recgonize the update. I tried via Application Loader and nothing there... this must be one of those phantom updates! I tried every way possible to load it up.. but no go! I just removed it and will wait for the real deal to come out.. .if it actually ever does. I have a feeling if this did load it would have nuked the 8820.
Wezra... If its not upgrading, then there is a step that your skipping. Double check with install instructions. I have done upgardes several times for my BB and numerous for other people and never had a issue.

Garz... I finally figured out what was going on.. I was deleting the vendor.xml our of sequence. Once I got that figured out it upgraded fine. Now, my only problem is that HTML isnt working. Would that be because T-Mobile hasnt upgraded their system? Or, did I miss something during the upgrade or need to change a setting on the 8820? Thanks....
