    Hello,
    I just got my 8830 yesterday and have a few questions that I cannot seem to find the answer to.

    Anyway, here goes...

    1. What is the slit/ opening on the top of the BB? I thought it might have been for the SD card but it goes in the back.

    2. What are the 2 gold colored pads on the left side of the BB?

    3. The Motorola charger for a Razr fits in the charging/ sync hole, will it work to recharge it?

    It charges mine, the travel charger, the original charger and the car charger from my Moto Razr all charge my BlackBerry just fine. They also charge my BT headset, My TomTom Go 720, and my S9 Headphones.

    My suggestion is to just give it a try.
