    I'm a new user of the 8830we and just wanted to know if there is any way to send an attachment such as a picture in a sms to some one w/o a blackberry?

    The 8830WE does not support the MMS format. As far as sending pics to a regular phone, you can't do it. You can send pics via email from the 8830 and also send pics to other Berries via IM.
