New to 8830, few questions/issues related to sync-up and audio

I need some help:

1. I set up intellisync to sync up tasks and address book from my outlook. works ok, but I was told emails and calendar will be update live. I get emails, but calendar is not updated live (is it from BES?). Why?

2. My volume of media player is loud, but when I plug a wired headphone (2.5mm) , the volume is very low on the headphone. Is there some setting?

3. I am able to use phone functions with my bluetooth (plantronics), but the media player (songs) didn't seem to work with my bluetooth. Is there some setting to tell media player to use bluetooth, or would it pick up automatically?

I have latest OS (4.2.2.66 or something) with Verizon.

Ihave the same problem with the headsets, but I do use a converter. Is that version of OS the current one for Verizon?
