There are several different apps you can find for the BB. Two of the favorites among members here are JiveTalk, which is probably the best and worth the cost, or WebMessenger, which is free but IMO not as good.

there was also a press release a few weeks ago that Microsoft is working on a bb version of Live messenger to be out summer 08.

Like I said, JiveTalk is not free. They will let you use the app free for 30 days, then you need to purchase a license.

Do you have a BB data plan? Have you loaded any other third party apps that connect to the internet?

i have google maps and a couple of games on there but thats all i downloaded whats a data plan ?
