Same for me. I'm new to BBs. Mine is company issued and I've assumed that there's something the company did to disallow it. Any way around this?

The Live Messenger is not supported by carriers outside of the US...
A good alternative is Beejive (JiveTalk) or Instango, try one of them, they can handle other IM accounts too.
