No, adding a media card won't help with the speed of tethered access. I don't know if you can upgrade the evdo version or not. That seems like something that would likely be in ROM and not upgradeable, but I don't know.

Jeff is correct. The only way to upgrade to Rev. A would be to change the IC that controls the radio.
