To add to my myriad of problems:
When my phone has a low battery and I am on a call, it beeps- but this beeping continues even when the phone is plugged in.

Is it juts my phone? Or is the 8830 not smart enough to know that it doesn't need to warn me because it is plugged in?

    Does anyone else get this?

Have you done a battery pull since this problem has occured? It might have been a small glitch in the OS.

I have a Trackball that didnt work on a new phone. I just did a reset and then worked fine. Might need the same your way.

Maybe, I exchanged the phone due to other problems, so I'll eventually see if it still continues this problem as well....

No need to wait. This problem is really there. Mine with latest OS update does the same thing. Not only that, but when you're on speakerphone you can really hear the beep and so can everyone else. How stupid is that. It should disable the beep when it's plugged in.
