I recently updated my phone through the Verizon website to 4.0.2 (correct me if I'm wrong).

My intention was to unlock the GPS and that's working great. However, now I'm having issues with the phone. after about 24-36 hours, the phone no longer goes into standby mode when the mute button is pressed and held, requiring me to do a hard re-boot.

sometimes the trackball stops for short periods of time.

I took it to Verizon today and they offered to replace my phone. However, they told me I'd be getting an older firmware. My fear is having to upgrade and being stuck with the same issues.

Other times it's just slow (like 4-5 seconds) to open a program such as email or BBM...

is anyone having similar issues and if so, how did you repair?

    thanks in advance!

it was 4.5.0 Sorry about that.

and yes, the 4.5 is the one giving me these problems.

For the trackball... It sounds like it needs to be cleaned...

For the rest of it... I'd try a battery pull and see if that fixes it
