top right, on the same line with email, vm, messenger alerts. It's a small blue cartoon balloon with a white "IM" in it. I have unhidden all my icons and nothing seems to be showing any unopened items, etc. Cleared out voicemail, nothing there. Very confusing.
this is a function which you have to select to download to get it there, it gives you access to your instant messenger accounts, whether they are with msn, or yahoo, or AOL.
I just got this today as well May 28. It is not blackberry messenger. It is NOT AOL instant messenger since I do nto have that installed. I reset and it stays. I can not get rid of it. Its not a task or email or anything I know. Help?
I just got the same small blue cartoon ballonn icon with 1 next to an "IM" baloon. Help me get rid of it! It's not email or a messenger and I dont have google talk, aol, icq, yahoo messenger installed.
I just got it today too. It will drive me crazy if I dont figure out what it is. I just recently started using BB Messenger with the voice option but it isnt the same icon. Otherwise, I dont have anything new on the phone (8830). Someones gotta know!
It is a BBMessenger message. Go into your BBmessenger application from the main screen (or click the menu key and show all applications if it is hidden). If you have never been into this application then it will ask you to setup your name and password and such which you will need to do to get to the message or "request" sitting behind the login information screens. Once it is "setup" you can click and delete the message and that bubble will go away.
We saw this happen with a user because someone else sent a request from their Blackberry to this user via their contacts list. This means you can still get that message even if you never went into BBMessenger on your phone.
