so frustrating when you get a email full of html code. I thought the New OS allowed you to read html in email. Was I mistaken?

Works for me. If you are on BES (company email) it depends on the version of software your company has on the BB server.

Go to your email on your BB, hit Options>Email Settings>Enable HTML Email. Select Yes, and you should be good to go.

If this doesnt work then resend your service books. That will get it going. Im assuming that you have 4.5 running?

You definitely need to send your service books again. I had to do the same thing on my 8830. Your old emails will not be html, only new ones received btw.

yes resending the service books worked. Except html pictures don't load but you can see the outline of them. I'm guessing it just takes time, but I had to hit the BB button and select download pictures

To resend service books try this if it does not work there is another way but try this first

attach device to desktop manager and synchronize should update them

You can log onto your bis webite and resend from there. you can also resend them from your phone.

There is an option to automatically download pictures, but it only appears to work for contacts in your address book. This is probably for security reasons. I have only be able to get the images using the menu option.

I have 3 email addresses on my BB and this option only comes up on one.

The funny thing is, the message service name in options>email settings> has the same address regardless of what email account I do this procedure in.

When I change the message service to what it should be, the html option goes away and I get a standard menu. Does that seem correct?

but message name in email account>options> email settings is still the same for all. I guess this is the norm

Select the email address by pushing the trackball. You will get a drop down menu with all email addresses on your BB. You can then modify the settings for each email address.
