[100 Green]

Got out of the shower, had placed my blackberry on the counter, and the blackberry was self-dialing *#*#*#*#Q*#*#Q, non stop. Did a batter pull, and the same thing started up again.

Fixable?

Sounds like water damage. Place the phone, with battery out, into a baggie of minute rice. let it sit in there for at least 24 hours. Hopefully this will pull out all of the moisture in your device.

I had to file a claim with the insurance carrier a year or two ago and the representative told me they get a good number of claims with water damage due to steam in the bathroom and cautioned me not to have the phone in the bathroom during a shower ... for what it's worth.

I do the same thing, but I usually just throw a small towel over it. I can still hear it, and the towel attracts the moisture.
