when i try downloading jivetalk i get the message "the it policy does not allow downloading of third party applications" and i can not disable the firewall because there is a red lock next to it. when i try to change the option it wont let. i even wiped my hand held and the setting didnt change. help!
My IT guys love me... They disabled security on mine. You will have to use someone else sim card, install it and then put your sim back. Be aware this may violate your t&cs with IT and can lead up to dismissal.
If you are a BES user then you will have to take it up with your IT department. If you are a BIS there are instructions for removing an IT policy in the tips, how to, and faq forum. This is for users who have gotten a BB secondhand from someone who previously used it in a BES environment.
