On the 8830 WE... How much Free Memory do you all usually have before you consider an a) soft reboot, b) battery pull, or c) your device locks up...??
I usually keep mine at 10000000 or higher, before doing one of the first two options I mentioned above... Is that still plenty...or just right?
Lemme know...

That is the minimum you'll want to have free to keep it running okay. The more the better though.

My memoury never drops below 30MB.
You should generally keep yours running at around 12MB to be safe.

Yeah, but you have a good bit more to start with than the OP

Yes I agree with 12MB or above to avoid issues.

I usually keep around 40-45 mb of file free, but I don't really DL any applications or games. And I do at least 2 soft resets per week. My device has never locked up (knock wood!).

That's why I wanted to know from other 8830 WE owners... Because 8330 users have more initial memory...

I have also used the Pearl, which also has 64MB of memoury. So.... Like I said. 12MB is just right to be safe.

Any 8xxx device available besides the 8330 (CDMA Curve) has 64Mb available!
That being said, any device needs to have 12,xxx,xxx (or more) MB of memory to function normally!
