I have a 8830 Blackberry that is connected to my work BES. I also have my personal gmail and hotmail accounts set up through the BIS. I am able to receive all of my mail but for some reason I can only receive Hotmail between the hours of 7 am to 5 pm. Before the clocks went back I was able to receive it between 8 am and 6 pm. I sent an email to hotmail support but didn't receive anything back.
If your BlackBerry is registered through your work BES, there could be a BES policy at play. You might want to ask your IT staff if there is some sort of time policy that is inhibiting you from getting your email after hours.
I am the BB IT person and there is no policy that would prevent receiving after hours email. I can still get my work email and my gmail after hours. It's just Hotmail that I am having a problem with.
