Okay...so my BB 8830WE out of nowhere does some funky stuff. No key on it at all works. Not the keyboard, not the side keys, not the volume keys...nothing. So, needless to say, I can't dial and I can't even get it to revive after it goes to "sleep" unless I pull the battery and that's only so I can see it again. The trackball scrolls all day long, but won't work when I press down. I can't do any of the resets and am lost now. Anyone heard of this and can help?
Did you have it in the bathroom while showering or get it wet in any way?
I ask because it sounds like either moisture infiltration or your BB has bit the big one.
One last question, does your device do anything when plugged in to the charger?

Never got it wet...it's been in the bathroom while I shower, though. It just started...no third party themes...it actually worked again for about 12 hours, then started the same thing over again.
Yeah, if I plug it in or do the battery removal, it comes up like there's nothing wrong. The trackball will scroll through the icons, but when I try to press it...nothing.
One last question, does your device do anything when plugged in to the charger?

I just had that happen to me last week for the first and only time,
The OS is the lastest .135 or what ever its is but mine happened while it was plugged into the car charger.
I got a message and when I went to read it everything lock and the red light remained on until I pulled the battery.
