Im a long time user of the blackberry, but new to the 8800. I was learning and playing with the various settings and i somehow changed my email backgounds to a blue and white sripped background. This is on all my creating new and recieving new emails and it is driving my bonkers.
When your done laughing, if anyone recalls how to get rid of it, please help me out and let me know.

I've read a few posts regarding this, i just had my pearl replaced on warranty and the new one has this rediculous purple and white candy cane background to type on. its awful. The fixes suggested don't work on the pearl as when you go to options and then security options then there is only a general settings nothing that was suggested........................

I have version 4.3.0.97 (platform3.1.0.51) and do not have the message background colors options under general settings? I realize the original post was for an 8800 and I have the 8130 pearl but I can't be the only one with this problem can I? Is this the same OS that you have???
