Right, my LED was fine for alerting me to messages, etc. but I only got my first BlackBerry on Christmas day and he battery was low for the first time, so on came a flashing green LED. It was driving me crazy! When it finally died I put it on charge and the bloody LED came back, at 1 am! :( I had to make a fort out of credit cards around the little light so I could get some sleep!
How do I turn off the green flashing LED that seems to be indicating low battery?

Green flashing is service indicator light
go into screen/keyboard and turn LED off
set LED coverage indicator to OFF
There's no option for 'LED' and 'LED Coverage Indicator' was set as Off when I got the device brand new :S
Did you remove battery while is divice ON?

As I said, I have only had it for 4 days and when unpackaged, battery went in, battery hasn't been moved since!
I'm alright for the time being 'cause it has power in it but I know you're not supposed to charge batteries until they're completely dead.
Its fine to charge your phone every night, but what I do sometimes (about once a week) is I'll let the battery drain completely
