I must be stupid or sumthin bt i cant get this dam thing to load. Iv deleted the vendor xml file but the thing stil wont load. curently running 4.5..138 and it is terrible. plz helpo
Step by step... I presume you've removed all the previous OS versions from your machine... But are you trying to use the DM to load the OS? Don't! Instead use the "loader" app as accessed from c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader then double-click the icon labeled "loader" and the loader wizard should start independent from DM to load the OS... This process is the simplest way to load an OS from a carrier other than your own... I presume you have verizon and you're loading someone else's OS... Since you're going to .169 do you have an 8330? If so, why not skip .169 and get .175 from Sprint instead, it's actually the latest "official" os for 8330... Hope this helps, cheers!
