in europe and cannot get my GSM roaming to work. spent an hour on phone with Bell Mobility (Canada) to no avail. below the Bell logo it says "Insert SIM Card". i have done this and by signal strength it says SOS. can't find anything on these messages either at Bell site or in the manual.

how frustrating to buy the phone for European travel and no only does it not work Bell Canada doesn't really seem to care !

    any suggestions?

Check to see if the SIM card is actually inserted properly. I inserted it thinking it was in correctly, but it wasn't so look into that. Also go into "manage connections" and change it so the phone connects "automatically". If both are done correctly, make sure that the phone works wherever you are, perhaps the band/frequency isn't supported.

you are correct. Bell tech help had me inserting the card backwards 7 times. i spun it around so the angled corner of the card is closest to the mid part of the battery ... and bingo it works.

    many thanks !
