Right, that's it, am not talking to any of you!

    Why?

Why didn't anyone tell me that the GPS on the 8800 was so brilliant? Huh, come on, someone say something?

Do you know, I drove home today using the GPS on MY 8800? To say am impressed is an understatement; I didn't get lost...

Do you mean that you normally get lost going home? Lol.

It's actually pretty good, but I still prefer my Magellan unit. However, the 8800 works good if you have nothing else.
What program are you using with it?

Do you typically get lost going home - has to be a sign of something

I have heard it is a very nice extra to have but Magellan and Garmin are better units - but hey---this is in the device - cool!! Show pics with examples...

At present does anyone have GPS access on their 8800? I can't seem to access any satellites when I do the refresh...

It could be just where am located at present. I've turned the wireless off, and pulled the battery, no luck...

mine works great. (I'm on T-mobile)

first make sure you're outside, or in a car.
go to maps, click the ball/menu and choose 'start gps'

it will take a minute or two.

    you can also see latitude/longitude @ options>advanced>GPS.

be sure to 'stop GPS' when you're done, I'm sure it uses some battery power.

I called T-Mobile to confirm my settings.

Now, don't laugh (well, am ), but I've been sitting at my desk for a few hours today, and that's where I was trying it from! My office is in the bloody basement duh...
