error 507 on BB for sale
Hey
im looking at buying a blackberry online thats for sale as is for $165.00 new. its for sale on ebay from a cellular ebay store that has 20 of the units with the same problem... all of them when you boot them up they all have a white screen with an error 507 on it.
now i seen on here, to fix this its just a matter of just wiping the phone and reloading the OS for it, but im still skeptical.
you think its a good idea?
any ideas?
thanks

Depending on what BB it actually is, you can save a good amount of money, and reloading the OS is very simple!

ya i forgot to mention the model
it was the BB 8830 WE

Sounds like a good deal and an easy fix. It's still a $165 gamble. :)

The 507 error is just stating that the device's OS was wiped (like a blank hard drive with no OS or DOS on it.) all you'd have to do is download the most current OS from the provider install the device OS on your PC with Desktop Manager installed and plug in the device. Desktop Manager will detect and install the OS. Viola! New $165 BB with the current OS installed.
