I have my bb 8830 WE from Sprint.

Is it possible to have it sync only the email from the bes, but have the calandar and task wirelessly sync with Yahoo?

Calendar and Task can't sync with Yahoo, unless there is some software you have for this. I've not found any that would do this...

Probably mis-read it. I'll see if I can find the article again. I know it was something they were working on (at least they listed it as "Coming Soon").

Hypothetically, would it be possible to do if the service did exist? To have the email wirelessly sync to the BES at work and the calendar/task/address book wirelessly sync to another program?

I know I can turn off the wireless sync and do it manually, curious if it could be on but sync elsewhere.

I don't see why not. I guess, Viigo does that in a way - it's a RSS Reader...
