    Hey,

So I'm trying to use my 8820 Hotspot Browser to download some MP4s and/or 3GP's from my own webpage, but instead of downloading the video onto my device, the browser opens the video file and basically displays the source code (so its like opening an MP4 with a browser). I'm wondering, is it my BB that's configured wrong, or do I have to set up my server differently? It's just a regular HTML page with a link to an MP4 file on the server. Thanks!

There won't be anything to mess with on your host.

Have you tried using your browser to download similar content from other sites? In fact, have you tried watching your films from a PC or MAC?

Also, what do you mean by "Displays the source code"? Are you being returned HTML when you click on a link?

The videos download fine on a PC or MAC browser, or even from Opera Mini. It seems to be an issue with the Blackberry Hotspot browser, where it looks like the browser is trying to open the .mp4 file instead of referring it to the Media Player.

DO you use a browser to watch mp4 video? I don't understand what you mean. Like youtube online? I think those are other video format. My 8820 which install the opera mini cannot see web video, include gif animation.
