I just switched over from ATT to Verizon due to me NEVER getting service. I went from the 8800 to the 8830 and am not liking the small differences. I just installed 4.5 Beta to fix the ringer issue, and read about the fix for editing the ringtones. I put the .cod file in the correct place, and the next step is to open the device manager to put it in. Whenever I open up the Device Manger, I get the icon in the taskbar but nothing comes up on the screen. I've tried reinstalling the software as well as restarting the computer (Windows Vista) with no luck. Any suggestions ? Or, is there another way to get this file into the right place without DM ?
