- Hi my name is Eli and i work for a company called GPRS. we do all repairs for cellular phones. our main repairs are on the blackberry charging ports. if anyone would like to send their phone in for repair its a 24 hour process. the repair itself costs around $45.00 and it will work like new. these ports were made to be so easily broken and i can imagine how frustrating it could be. try out our service you will be very satisfied. if you are interested call my direct line 646-409-7455 Thanx07-27-09 03:12 PMLike 0
- I'm in a Verizon store and I have noticed that a lot of customers break their devices because they either use a car charger that expands (puts tension on the charging port) or they use it while it's charging (again, puts tension there) so you know... don't do either of those things and there is no reason the charging port should come loose. Keep the faith alive WE brothers and sisters! And screw the tour.

It looks like the black plastic that fits in between and around the gold contacts has disappeared, at least the black plastic is present on my work Pearl. Without that plastic in there, the contacts get loose and don't make a strong contact. I have just been bending them down to make a stronger connection but that is getting old, so I just bought a new one on ebay. We'll see how that works.08-02-09 03:19 PMLike 0

I've replaced the wall charger, the battery and tried a cradle. The BB does not even detect the cradle and never has. From what I'm reading here, I think the USB port might be defective. BTW, this was supposed to be a "lightly used" BB.
Can anyone offer any suggestions? I really do not want to ship it out and be without a phone, it's for business.Last edited by lilbitaheaven; 02-03-10 at 04:34 PM. Reason: add

- Whether or not you GORILLA your charging ports, some of you really do sound like you are gorillas (so rude)! Either way...other than be critical or to send your phone back, does no one have a solution as to how to sync your phone when you are having an issue. I have a 9530 Storm with a loose charging port out of warranty and can't afford a new one from VZW just yet. Any good suggestions?07-11-10 04:41 PMLike 0
