Somehow the connector inside the mini USB port on my 8820 has broken from over-use and is now completely dangling. This is bad because I have no way of charging my phone.

What would be the best way to repair this? Some kind of electronics repair shop online? Or maybe local? Repair it myself (I know nothing of electronics repair)?

I'll be honest and no offense to you but repairing this yourself isn't the easiest thing in the world.

There is a service that I believe charges 75 dollars to replace the USB port.

You can buy an external charger and battery for around 25 I believe which is what I did.
