    I just bought the 8830 WE (Verizon wireless) unlocked to use for att. However, i still can't seem to get my phone to work on my network. I know the phone is unlocked because the simcard has been disabeled as shown in the link below. However, where it say's network, It's shows as "inactive" instead of "Active". Would any of you know why that is? Would you suggest i call att or verizon?

    I believe this in the FAQ. An 8830 WE will not work on att.

    The 8330WE won't work on AT&T in North America.

    The GSM radios in the 8830 are European frequencies only. The radios for North America are not in the device at all. It won't work on AT&T, T-Mo, or Rogers.

    Now, if you go to France, Germany, or Japan, it should work just fine.
