Can someone please tell me if I can connect my BB 8830 WE to my wireless network without a cell provider? I have another phone I am using through Verizon and when I tried to switch it over to the 8830 they said I must have a data plan which I currenty don't have and dont want. Please advise.

No - the 8830WE does not have WiFi capabililty.
