    After i turn off my bb, it wont power on with the red button.. i have to remove the battery and reboot it again in order to start my bb... I can turn off the device, but turning on is a problem is that a hardware or a software problem....

    There's really no way to tell for sure whether or not it's a hardware or software problem.

    The end call button is not the power button. That's the end call button. The power button is at the tip of the device, opposite to the Mute button.

    No worries man.. I had the 8800, then moved to the 8820 for awhile.. then back to an 8800 with 4.5... went to a Pearl 8100 with 4.5, and now I'm on an Curve 8310.. I'm all too familiar with these devices..

    (I'm my company's BES admin and authorized carrier maintenance person so I have the advantage of testing all the devices..)
