it is the only thing my BB displays right now and i cant do anything with my phone...
its been charging for 12 hours on 3 different chargers...

I would suggest you get your phone replaced.
Have you tried the other combination? Put an known good battery in your device. If it work properly, you know it is isolated to your battery.
If your battery works in another device, it could be the low voltage tolerance is a little higher on one device. Odds are pretty good, it will continue to fail in any device.
I agree Stone, try testing out a new battery...:)
it's not the battery. facebook app asked me to update and i foolishly accepted and of courseit stopped working. i deleted it and tried to download and install fresh and i got the battery icon on screen. it has nothing to do with the battery. nothing. lots of people who get tricked into updating apps get that icon
