I have a Bell 8830 World Edition CDMA\GSM device that supports sim cards. Is there a way to unlock the GSM portion of the phone so that it is on the Rogers GSM network only? There is a slot for sim cards so I assume this can be done?

I have java utilities to wipe the Bell OS off the unit - would installing the Rogers 8800 OS work? or am I screwed?

Check other threads, you can't use the 8830 on the Rogers network because the 8830 doesn't use Rogers frequency, only uses those found in Europe and some parts of Asia. All OS's are the same regardless of what device you have.
