i just downloaded Google Maps for my BB. i was wondering what ppl prefer to use and which app is better. if it turns out that google is the better one to use, is it ok to delete the BB maps app to allow for more room on my BB? Please help?
i prefer google maps. verizon makes you pay for their gps service so gps is turned off on my phone, but google uses cell tower triangulation to "pinpoint" my location (w/in a certain distance). this makes it easy to get directions from where i am currently to somewhere else. also, i think google maps is more user friendly, imo. i haven't deleted berry maps, tho.
BlackBerry Maps is much faster and uses far less data. The biggest advantage of Google Maps is the cell tower positioning which is accurate to within about a mile or 2 km, sometimes less. The Google satellite view is also very cool.
