8800's series is the winner hands down. Build quality, features and software support put it slightly ahead IMO.
I've typed on both. 8800 series keyboard is solid with better tactile feel. The curve is somewhat mushy. If the curve had true GPS then it would be a tough decision. I love the Wi-Fi on my 8820 and don't miss having a camera at all.

I'm in the same boat and have been following this thread closely. I type out a lot of emails and I think I'm going to have to try the 8820 now that I'm without the 8320 and have tried it.
From what I've read, I've concluded, WiFi isnt necessarily a 'big' thing, but it's nice to have it, the build quality is significantly better than the 83xx, and the keypad is more comfortable for extended typing.
the curve is the bomb!
the camera is awesome
more reliable than the pearl
get a soft gel cover its great to hold and protects it from short falls and helps keep it scratch free
its a very reliable phone too good luck
My dad has a Curve and sometimes when i'm playing BrickBreaker on his Curve i have the feeling his trackball rolls just a little bit smoother but beside that i really love my 8820 and i don't need a camera because i would never use it.

I own a Blackberry 8800 and a Blackberry Curve 8310 and I just want to say that I stuck with the 8800. The camera on the curve is always a plus, but the casing and build quality felt really cheap. As opposed to the 8800's style and feel it is more refined and formal. I could wear more formal clothing and take out my 8800 and blend in. However, both phone specs are almost completely the same. The things I wish to have on the 8800 would be a camera and a 3.5mm audio jack. But, I choose the 8800 over the Curve.
