Hey all names Chris, ive got Alltels 8830 BB. The firewall has locked out my incoming SMS and MMS. Ive been looking online and trying to find a work around this stupid thing. So far no tech support has been able to unlock it. Any body got any clues on a crack or work around any help would be cool.

Do you have an IT policy on your 8830? Go to Options / Status and type BUYR. You won't see the letters on the screen, but two additional lines will be added to your status info. If either refers to an IT policy, that may be controlling your firewall. If so, and if your IT policy was placed there by your employer, you won't be able to remove it. If you bought the phone used with an IT policy on it, we may be able to help you.
